After installing Tomcat 8.0 the book recommends testing the install by running the ch02email program.
To fix this:
To set a Root User during installation phase make sure students check the “show advanced options” under Type and Networking section.
I recieved an error when browsing through the website catalog.
Solution: I forgot to create the database! The Appendix instructions must be followed closely.
Note: When running a program Windows Firewall sometimes appears asking if the action should be allowed. If students cannot run the program it may be due to the firewall blocking it.
Part 8: There is no “survey.html” it should be “index.html”
Part 8: System.out.println does not print on the main output window. You must go to the “Services” tab, right click on “tomcat 8” and choose “View Server Output”.
