POTICA Cake
Ingredients
- 3/4 c softened butter
- 4 Eggs
- l 1/2 t baking powder
- 2 C ground walnuts
- l 1/2 C packed brown sugar
- l 1/2 C granulated sugar
- 3 C ± 2 T flour
- 1 pint sour cream
- 1 1/2 t soda
- 1/2 t cinnamon
Procedure
- Cream butter with granulated sugar.
- Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition.
- Sift 3 cups flour, baking powder and soda together.
- Add gradually to butter mixture.
- Stir 1 t vanilla into sour cream and stir into batter.
- Combine ground nuts, brown sugar, 2 T flour, 1/2 t vanilla and cinnamon.
- Add to batter, but do not beat or mix.
- Stir just enough to moisten nut mixture.
- Turn into lightly greased 10" tube pan.
- Bake at 350 for 1 hour and 15-25 minutes.
- Cool completely before removing from pan.
